Stuff I Use

While it may not be smart to write Markdown in GNU Nano, I’ve decided to give it a shot. I’ll update this properly at a later date I’m sure.

My Thinkpad

My primary laptop is a Lenovo Yoga 370 - I recieved it in August of 2017 as part of my tuition. Until last year, it ran Windows 10. To increase its lifespan, I replaced the battery, increased its storage, and switched OS to Debian 12 running KDE Plasma. Here are the current specs:

Its performance is fairly cromulent considering its age is getting to the point of “should-really-start-looking-at-getting-a-better-laptop”. For the time being though, it handles what I use it for (audio programming) decently well. Just can’t have too many Firefox tabs open when building a C++ project or things go downhill quickly.

Potato

The newest piece of tech that I own is originally from 2015. It is a rinky-dink little laptop with an Intel Atom likewise running Debian GNU/Linux. (As a sidenote, it couldn’t even run Windows 10 anymore with its 32 Gigs of eMMC storage). It uses Xfce as its desktop environment, just because. I’m sure I could have found a DE or entire Distro more lightweight but it’s good enough. Here are its specs:

Should I have anything more to say I’ll add them here, but this should suffice for now.
